Reading Stars Phonics Phase 5 Spellings Pack provides reading books to support a phonics teaching progrmamme at the level where pupils are learning alternative spellings for known phonemes. The pack contains 11 books. It contains both fiction and non-fiction titles, on a range of topics and text types. These books corresponds to Phase 5 of Letters and Sounds, the UK Government's synthetic phonics programme, but can be used for phonics reading practice to support any phonics programme. The words are all decodable which means they are made up of phonics that children can put together to decode the word. Each book covers two alternative spellings for phonemes that pupil will already have learnt.
